That bankruptcy choice relates to something I've been thinking of recently. If it ever costs too much to stay alive then is it worth keeping myself alive. Hope I never have to face that choice, but it's something I've been seeing with other lives that intersect with my own.
Striking a balance is so difficult, but if one has to tilt to one side, then rather bankruptcy of purse than life. "Are you breathing just a little and calling it a life?" - Mary Oliver. Better to burn the candle on both ends than live in half light.
