E - as in "Eeyewww..."
who's going to clean those?
who's going to clean those?
That second Wahoo filled the whole cockpit (look at the gloves. The gloves, I said!)
Have you ever cleaned fish this big, or any for that matter?
When I pleaded that I had nothing to protect my hands against the scales, my darling (and broadly grinning) skipper produced this hideous pair of black rubber gloves.
(I had a suspicion he used them to clean the head!)

Eeyewww...
Hi Inge .. I have cleaned some fish but most definitely not one that big - mind you I bet it tasted delicious .. absolutely delicious ... lovely E for Eeyewww .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi, Hilary - actually, both fish tasted great. I cut 24 1 1/2-inch steaks from the Wahoo - and we gave most of the Crevalle Jack away to another boat anchored close by; for a price, of course: Cocktails on their boat.
DeleteThose gloves just scream, "Disgusting things happen here." At least the fish was worth it!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!
DeleteI've cleaned fish, but nothing this big. You were well equipped with them thar gloves. :D
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem with fishing, someone's got to clean them! I'll catch and cook but don't like to clean.
ReplyDeleteEww is right -- i make my son clean the fish he catches!
ReplyDeleteI have not. My husband goes fishing all the time, but he always does catch and release. Not sure what I'd do if he brought one of those suckers home!
ReplyDeleteYou'd probably say "Eeyewww," and chase him out the door (because he just came in, proudly displaying his dripping trophy over your clean kitchen floor).
