A to Z Challenge - "A"

A - As in "After the Cataclysm"

Hello everyone.
I don't want to gloat right off the bat (or the boat) - but since this Challenge starts with "A"
my latest release easily comes to mind (at least to mine).
(Think of it as an exercise for this Challenge;
as we go along, I'll be learning from the veterans on here.)

What does the eruption of a supervolcano have to do with ships or sailing?
Not so fast. There is a connection.

A ghost ship, the real Lyubov Orlova, still haunts the Atlantic. http://whereisorlova.com/ No crew; just cannibal rats on board.

I gave her a new name and a new life - for a while...

As the North American continent lies in ruins, buried under volcanic ash, it is good to have a way to escape. This former cruise ship is just the ticket for a seedy South American collector of antiquities. But all that glitters is not necessarily gold.

That’s all I am going to tell you for now.

  2. Hello, Sharon,
I wouldn't want to make you seasick - this alphabet soup gets sunnier as we sail along. I promise.

    1. You are up early; oh, so am I.
I have changed my "name" for this from the Google account to "Name/Url" so that people who want to answer my comment can go straight to my participating website. Except, I haven't figured out how to put a face to the name...something else to learn. Good to see you on this challenge.

  5. I've heard of that ship! It's so creepy -- and such a great idea for the basis of a book. :)

  8. Ghosts ships are quite intriguing, though I'd never want to be stranded on one. Your story sounds intense and like it's a real page turner!

  10. Relax, everyone. the Rats are gone. At least, the four-legged ones. As to the remaining two-legged ones, that's another story; actually, it is the story.

See y'all tomorrow (oh my, Arkansas is catching up with me).

    1. There is even a brief mention about the Negril Beach resort. When I was there - wayyy back, we had to drive through herds of goat to get to the old lighthouse, and then the rocky beach with practically nobody there...things change.
